Dr. Maikel Griages, serving the greater Philadelphia area, brings over 12 years of specialized experience in providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide array of foot and ankle conditions. He began his academic journey at Philadelphia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-medicine and Chemistry. Dr. Griages then pursued his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a rigorous surgical residency at the Cpl. Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Administration Medical Center, where he distinguished himself as chief resident in his final year.

After his residency, Dr. Griages served as an attending physician at the Veterans Center, where he honed his expertise in biologic wound care. Currently, he is an associate podiatric physician with Lifecare Podiatry, providing specialized care to assisted living facilities throughout the Greater Delaware Valley. Dr. Griages holds surgical privileges at several prominent hospitals, including Abington Surgery Center, Jefferson Einstein Hospital, Jefferson Abington Hospital, and Chestnut Hill Hospital.

A respected fellow of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Griages is recognized for his leadership in developing multidisciplinary limb salvage protocols, aimed at reducing major amputations and improving patient outcomes. His approach to foot care is rooted in the belief that routine care is essential to preventing complications in the lower extremities and enhancing overall health.

Dr. Griages specializes in diabetic limb salvage, forefoot surgery, custom orthotics, and biomechanics. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time outdoors with his two daughters, gardening with his wife, and indulging in his passions for football and grilling.

Dr. Renzi has been a practicing podiatrist in Abington and the surrounding area for more than 25 years. His empathy and knowledge allow him to care for patients from toddlers to geriatrics, with his oldest patient passing the 100-year milestone.

He is the founder and director of the Save Your Soles campaign, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and a graduate of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (formerly Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine). He has lectured on lower extremity amputations at the national American Diabetes conference, the American Podiatry Association national conference, and the Philadelphia-area Goldfarb Foundation Podiatric Conference. He completed a surgical residency at Kensington Hospital and has served as a staff member of Abington Hospital since 1991.

Dr. Renzi is the recipient of the Martin Luther King Community Service Award, the Innovators Award from Abington Health Foundation, and the Chester Environmental Partnership Outstanding Support Award.

He lives in Abington with his wife Maureen. When not working, he revels in his role as Pop to his grandchildren and enjoys spending time at the South Jersey shore at the beach and on the basketball courts.
